medicine doesn't work, i have decided. it's as if you just have to wait for things to run their course and then you will be fine. i have like no voice and the voice that i do have is so like manly :( it's gross.
anyway, i've been doing a lot of reading lately and i'm already hating it which sucks cause it's only the third week of school, i mean common now!

POP Training
So today was training for POP (Pre-Orientation Program). It wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be, just alot of information to take in and grasp. However; I'm super excited for the University Fair next weekend. It's gonna be pretty awesome, I member going to it and loving it so I'm stoked to actually be working at it this year. I signed up that I could work all three days, cause let's be honest here..I could use the money to pay for some bills and so that I have some extra cash on me :).
So POP seems like it's gonna be alot of fun and some of the people are really nice. Well no that's a lie. Most of the people are really nice :)
Speaking of work, next week I picked up two shifts working in the main office of GH. Basically it's just calling the recent graduates and asking about their current career path and whether they chose to go to graduate school teacher's college, etc. So I think that's gonna be pretty interesting since I will get to hear what kind of jobs recent graduates from my own program are in and the career paths that some of them took. That's all I have to say for now about work!

orientation training
so today was training for the STAMP Leaders for Orientation 2009: Get in the Game. It was actually a lot more fun than I thought it would be and surprisingly the day went by really fast. We played a lot of ice breakers to get everyones energy levels up and get everyone super pumped for the next days of Orientation :)
So bascally tonight, I have to make sure that I have all of my stuff ready for my STAMP time with my STAMPies as well as my clothes laid out so that maybe I can sleep in a little longer than usual :).
Overall, it looks like it's going to be a fun couple of days and I'm actually like super duper excited for Orientation! Hopefully I get to meet alot of my STAMPies this time around :)

fresh start
so my weekend was pretty eventful :). got my hair dyed at Valentino's on saturday morning and I absolutely love it! It's like a dark brown with some low lights. I've never had it this dark before so it's pretty exciting, you know. Then I got home and called my nieces and we went for manicures and pedicures at Nail Art. Oh! but before we went there I had to drop off two pair of pants at the alterations place cause they are too long for me :(. They are actually supposed to be ready today so my mum will be going to pick them up and bringing them to me tomorrow.
But yeah, back to the manicures and pedicures! So me and my nieces all got pink on our nails, but they are all different colours of pink. Megs was the only one who got a design on her thumbs. For our pedicures, we all had different colours. Lauren had purple, Megs had this ocean blue and I got a lime green colour. We all got designs on our toes :). Megs got this really cute flower design that was in the shape of a diamond, Lauren got flowers and I got half a flower with some vines. Nail Art is really good like I love it there. It's only $45 for a mnai/pedi plus a design on your toes which I think is pretty cheap compared to some places that I have been to. Getting pedicures and manicures is one of my favourite things to do EVER! I just feel so great after I get it done, plus I love getting vibrant colours :).
oh man, sunday was moving back to residence and it was crazy! i don't know who ever decided to change move in from two days to one, but it was hectic to say the least. I had a million things to bring upstairs to my room. I still have so much left to go through and I should probably be doing that now, but I won't..not yet anyway! I'm very excited for this year. It's a really fresh, new start for me and I'm glad 've got my friends with me to help me make it through.
so I was heading back down to my car to get like the last of my stuff to bring up to my room and I see Leviana getting stuff out of her van, so obviously I was like super excited cause I haven't seen her in forever! and turns out she's on my floor - T3 by the way :) - but she is directly across the hall from me. Which is super funny cause we were talking before about how we need to visit each other on move-in day. But we don't have to go very far and I'm so excited :).
Okay so I'm totally looking around my room, and seeing how much I still have to put away and I'm thinking I should get on that right about now! I shall update later on the progress :)

i wrote this a long time ago but never got around to posting it anywhere, and i've made a few changes since i first wrote it.
the sister. oh man is she beautiful. the kind of beautiful that's flawless. the kind that everyone can see but her. i could tell her countless times; but its no use, she doesn't see what i see when i look at her. she's not the easiest to understand - no teenage girl is. she's much better than your average girl. she could liven up my day with her stories. she always brought me back to my days in elementary school. i'm glad i could be there for you in the past.
the mother. when i think of you, i could immediately think my second mum. i think of all the things i knew i could share. the way she wondered that early morning, when she heard me get up and move around, if i was okay or if something was wrong in regards to my concussion. i am thankful for the captain crunch, the easy mac and the banana muffins. you always made sure i had enough food in residence - so much like my mum haha. i have never met anyone who enjoyed cooking as much as you do, and to make such tasty food just makes it that much better. you welcomed me into your home and to your family events and treated me not like a guest, but like family. to me, a perfect beauty is what you are.
the father. he is more than your typical father. he's what i imagine a great dad to be. i'm not his daughter, but he sure as heck knew how to treat me as though i was. i don't know what a father-child relationship would be like but you taught me a little about it, although we didn't get to live it out as long as i had been hoping for. i never did get the chance to truly thank you. i'm sure to you it's nothing, just the way you normally act, and i was just the girlfriend..but even still, it meant the world to me. if it were up to me i would say your kids got pretty darn lucky. no longer can i just walk in the house, i'm now the stranger you once told me i wasn't
i gotta stop writing this now; i can't stand the thought of how much i miss each of you, followed by the tears and i've been doing so well.
but i will leave you with one thing.... i know i won't forget you.

so i joined the hype of twitter. i think i have figured out the point behind twitter. it basically just makes it easier for those who like to lurk and creep people. and now, twitter makes it possibly for you to know what someone is doing at pretty much every hour of their day.

my final days.
so today and tomorrow are my final days at my current job. i'm not going to lie i'm like over the moon :)
the only thing that sucks is that since i plan events for the kids who live here and each event takes like at least 3 days to plan, i had my last event yesterday. so i can no longer lie and say that i'm busy working on my event stuff :( i spent 3 1/2 hours this morning photocopying every different sheet in the bookcase, cause they are too lazy to do it after i leave so they want extra copies made now so that they won't have to do any photocopying for quite some time.
i'm basically just killing time photocopying about 80 copies of every sheet. i feel like that should hold them over for quite some time.
in between all of the photocopying i was googling some random stuff and came across an article that said that as a female, it isn't healthy for your uterus and ovaries and all that lovely stuff. so basically, i was standing by the photocopier thinking about how i could possibly be ruining my future of having children for these lazy business people, who all already have children....seems strange to me! although now i'm scared to stand infront of the photocopier as that is where the radiation rays are apparently coming from :( ladies, your thoughts?

the packing situation...
hmmmm packing situation....yeah not going so well. i always find it extremely difficult to choose which clothes i do and don't want to take with me. then i have to go through all of my other belongings and let's face it, i want to transport my room over to residence and then everything would be fine.
IF ONLY IT WERE THAT EASY. but nooooooooooooo! you have to pack for a drive of like 2hours and then unpack again. i swear i spend like a week packing and like two days unpacking, it's just unreal!
But i had all of my clothes pack this past weekend and totally forgot i still had 5 days of work left, so i had to rummage through my packed bags to find clothes to wear :(. but tonight i repacked all of my clothes and left out clothes for my last two days of work.
Right now, i should be packing some more of my belongings, but i'm taking a break :). OMG i went to the dollarstore tonight just to get a couple random last minute things, since when is like nothingggggggggggg in the dollarstore a dollar??? everything is $1.25 at least. what on earth is this world coming to?!
Well that's my rant on the dollarstore for ya :)

Is this the beginning??
I started this blog cause I have been hooked on reading Leviana's. So my inspiration for this blog is ms. Leviana Coccia :)
Right now, I'm at work..pretending to be busy like always. My job is a community developer at government-run subsidized housing in Oshawa. I plan events for the kids that live here cause let's be honest, they are serious trouble makers; so my job is to try and keep them busy and keep them out of trouble. I'm very excited because at 2:30 we are having a girls movie night! We are going to be making our very own ice cream sundaes and watching none other than Hannah Montana: the movie! I love this movie, bought it the first day it came out :).
Well that's all for now, I'm gonna discuss this packing for school situation a little later on, should be interesting!
